Initial Sod CareWater your sod as soon as the turf is installed. Saturate the sod evenly and thoroughly, failure to water enough in the beginning can damage the appearance of the turf and could also prevent new grass from growing. If severely neglected, it could kill the grass. After the initial watering, frequent light watering will be required. Secondary Sod Care
Change your watering pattern. Wait until your grass shows signs of slight stress before watering. This will force the turf to toughen up. A light fertilizer application will also be needed at this stage. This may also be a good time to get professional yard care if you do not feel qualified to maintain your turf.
